Tenants Information
Tenant Participation & Consultation

Consultation

The Association believes that its tenants have a right to be consulted on matters that might affect them, their homes and tenancies and that tenant’ views should be taken into account on these matters

The Association will consult tenants when improvement works to a building or environment is planned, over any new programme of maintenance, of a major change in management practice and any proposal to transfer its tenanted properties to another Association.

When the views of tenants are obtained they will be subsequently informed either verbally or in writing as to how their views were taken into account.

The Association regularly issues questionnaires to tenants to determine how effectively it delivers its services and to implement changes to improve future services.

Resident Associations

The Association welcomes and encourages the setting up of individual scheme resident associations. The Association can provide advice on the setting up of a resident association and the proper conduct of business.

Tenant Forum

Tenants can participate further in the work of the Association by becoming representatives on the Tenants’ Forum. The Tenants’ Forum consists of tenant representatives, staff and board members. Each scheme has the option of nominating representatives to the Forum even if they do not have a residents’ association. The Forum agrees yearly its level of Tenant Involvement and its objectives.
